What Were YOU Planning To Be When YOU Grew Up?

When we were little, most of us had definite ideas of what we wanted to be when we grew up. A bullfighter. An astronaut. A movie star. The possibilities were endless!

Then, as we grew up, we found other dreams, passions, and ambitions. Some of our childhood ideas remained, and many didn’t.

We Asked Our Team Members…

  • As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Why? What changed?

And Here Are Their Answers:

Doctor Lynch wanted to be a professional Baseball Player.

Ashley wanted to be a TLC Truck driver so that she could travel the world and see everything. She says they went out of business and she decided she better look for something different.

Monica K. wanted to be a ballerina, but at school when she had to stand up and say what she aspired to her classmates laughed and so she rearranged her plans.

Monica H. wanted to be a Marine Biologist specifically working with Manatees. Her path changed after hopping into the ocean during a Girl Scout Cruise and screaming so loud the snorkeling instructor could hear her in the boat. She decided she could not handle fish surrounding her and that marine life was not for her.
